Catherine Anne
Catherine Anne O'Hara OOC, born March 4 1954 she is a Canadian-American actress. O'Hara has won a number awards which include the Genie Award (a Golden Globe Award), two Screen Actors Guild Awards and two Primetime Emmy Awards. In addition, O'Hara was awarded six Canadian Screen Awards. In 2018, O'Hara was appointed to the rank of an Officer of Canada. She also received the Governor General’s Performing Arts Lifetime Artistic Achievement Medal in 2020. O'Hara was a renowned actor when she joined in 1974 of The Second City, an improvisational comedy troupe based in Toronto. Dan Aykroyd and John Candy were also in her main cast on the sitcom Coming Up Rosie (1975-1978). O'Hara was a part of Candy in the sketch comedy show Second City Television (1976-1984). The show received the attention of critics both for her writing abilities and acting, and was awarded a Primetime Emmy Award, 1981, for Outstanding Writing for Variety Series. In 2022, O'Hara was added to the new Second City artistic advisory board led by Stephen Colbert, along with Steve Carell, Dwayne Colbert, Tina Fey, Keegan-Michael Key, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jane Lynch, Tim Meadows, Peter Murrieta, Suzy Nakamura, Sam Richardson, Jeff Richmond,a Jason Sudeikis, and Robin Thede.
